Enjoy some Holiday Magic with Mr. & Mrs. Claus as they come to visit Open Door Outreach Thrift Store! This FREE family fun event offers a great opportunity to bring holiday joy with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus for all. Mr. & Mrs. Claus are sensitivity trained offering a positive and inclusive holiday experience for all children, regardless of their unique needs and sensitivities. Bring your cell phone and pose with Mr. & Mrs. Claus for that perfect holiday photo! Event will be held at Open Door Thrift Store located at 7140 Cooley Lake Rd in Waterford on Thursday November 30^th, 430-630pm.

Client Stories

Sometimes just the right referral can mean everything to a client.
Staff recall the day a 76-year-old veteran came into the office. He’d moved to the Waterford area from a Southern state, and was having a hard time getting prescriptions filled.
Staff referred him to a local VFW contact that is trained to help Veterans and work with VA benefits. After a few weeks, he came back to Open Door.
“He was ecstatic,” staff remembered. “The Veterans Offices had not only helped him with the prescriptions, they found him an apartment, got him a new mattress and given him a new TV.” Open Door continues to help him with food, clothing and houshold items to ease his life.

Food Pantry

Open Door’s Client-Choice Food Pantry provides food and care items on a monthly basis to qualified income men, women, children and seniors struggling to make ends meet.

Client Services

Open Door Outreach Center's primary mission, in the spirit of interfaith charity, is to provide emergency services of food, clothing and referral information to families in need.
