Our Open Door Client-Choice Food Pantry is located at 7124 Cooley Lake Road in Waterford, MI, provides food and care items on a monthly basis to qualified income men, women, children and seniors struggling to make ends meet.
More than 22,800 pounds of food (equaling 1,900 meals) is distributed to 311 local families each month in the community.
Donations come from local churches, schools, civic organizations, and individuals like you.
Open Door Outreach Center Food Pantry also purchases food from Gleaners Food Bank and receives food from partners including Waterford Panera, Meijer Simply Give, White Lake Community Garden, Waterford Insurance, Forgotten Harvest and Costco. People also donate extra food from their own private gardens.
Clients may receive a voucher to receive free items from our Thrift Store up to 3 times a year.

Clients are asked to bring the following pieces of information to their scheduled appointment.
- Picture Identification
Driver's License, Michigan State Identification, Passport or Other
- Proof of Residency (must have a date within the last 30 days)
Rental Receipt, Utility Bill (with same name and address), or Other
- Proof of Household Income (for the last 30 days)
Pay Stubs, SSI, FIA/ADC, or Other
- Proof of Child Custody
Insurance, Medicaid Card, Social School Enrollment, or Other
- Proof of Income for All Adults Over 18 Living in the Household
